ParentKit (“the app”) is developed by Edgar Mejía, an independent developer. This policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Information we collect
Section titled “Information we collect”Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, name, and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google), supporting email/password and Google Sign-In.
Data you enter in the app. The following data is stored in Cloud Firestore (Google):
- Baby profiles: name and date of birth.
- Care events: event type, time, optional note, and the author who logged it.
- Care circle memberships: which users belong to each baby’s care circle.
Baby photos. Photos attached to events are encrypted on your device with AES-256 before being uploaded to Firebase Storage. The server only ever stores encrypted data. The encryption key is stored in the baby’s document and is accessible only to members of that baby’s care circle.
Push notifications. The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications to care circle members. We store FCM device tokens for this purpose.
Subscriptions. ParentKit Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed with RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.
How your data is shared
Section titled “How your data is shared”Your data is shared only with the members you invite to your baby’s care circle. We do not sell your data, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party trackers.
Third-party services
Section titled “Third-party services”The app uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging) and RevenueCat. You can review their privacy policies at policies.google.com/privacy and revenuecat.com/privacy.
Data deletion
Section titled “Data deletion”You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing contact@edgarmejia.com.
Children
Section titled “Children”ParentKit is intended for adult parents and caregivers and is not directed at children. Information about babies is entered by the adult account holder.
Changes to this policy
Section titled “Changes to this policy”Any updates to this policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
